Incoming His & Hers Birth Years

My wife will be 40 in May 2014 so I have just ordered her a beautiful 6917 Date from 1974.....Of course I've ordered myself a birth year (1972) Datejust 1601 to go with it, just eagerly awaiting their arrival now!!!

A birth year Rolex (1973 for me!) is on my bucket list as well - and the 1601 is a real beauty! I saw one for ~$4,000, it had a Tiffany dial but was a case only, no bracelet...bummer.

Congrats!!!!!

Having had the Datejust (I've not worn it yet) for a few weeks, I've decided two tone isn't for me, so I've purchased a 1972 Datejust in SS with white roman dial, more my taste!!

This means I'll now begrudgingly have to sell the two tone datejust, Shame because it's immaculate and much better condition that the SS Roman.

Here's the new one:

Incoming His & Hers Birth Years

Hi...I was the OP of this thread but as mentioned above the whole two tone thing never quite sat well with me...I prefer steel, white gold or platinum. Therefore I've sold both the TT Datejust and the TT Lady Date and have bought myself a birth year 1972 Datejust and just bought my wife a birth year 1974 (surprise for her 40th In May)...here they are:

Both have been serviced, overhauled and polished and are amazingly looking like new!!

Sorry to have been so fussy, I love the look of TT but wouldn't feel comfortable wearing it!
