White Faced Explorer II - pics long overdue!
Sorry, guys....Have been occupied with work and helping out attend to my first grandchild. Got this EXPLORER II last Jan 23. I was influenced by JJ's review in this FORUM.
I got this EXPLORER from Old World Jewelers (http://www.ewatchshow.com/) and I would not hesitate to recommend them. Look for Andy. DESCRIPTION: Rolex Men’s Explorer II, Reference #16570, K serial number dates this watch to 2002. 40mm stainless steel with screw down crown and back, white dial with date at 3 o’clock. Fixed stainless steel 24Hr bezel with black numbers. Independently adjustable hour hand and Red 24 hour hand. Stainless steel fliplock bracelet and clasp. Full hologram with numbers, complete with box and papers. Last edited by LDLemu4U; 13 February 2008 at 10:35 AM.. Reason: Add picture |

Congrats, very nice classic model ! Enjoy ! (I recently saw a TV program about Peter Hillary climbing mount Everest (50 yrs after his father), and I'm sure he was wearing a white face Exp II. ) Any plans on climbing Everest with your Exp II ??

Thanks to all! I'm certainly enjoying it and do not regret getting the "polar" vis a vis the black faced. A special Thanks to JJ Irani for writing a review http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=19204 and stunning pics, that gave me the adrenalin rush to look for this piece. Thanks also to Old World Jewelers!
Now I have the black face in a SS GMT II ref 16710, this "polar" or white faced Explorer II, and a "rootbeer" or Bronze dial TT GMT 1 ref 16753. LOVELY! |
