I think the risk of wearing a larger watch like the YMII is that you get used to the presence of a larger watch (especially if you feel that size suits you) and going back to 40mm just doesn't feel quite right.

Add to that the additional impact and wrist presence any white dial watch tends to provide and you're starting to head down a one watch street......

For example, I tried the WG Panda Daytona next to the Plat Daytona and despite the prestige and status of the Plat Daytona, for me, the WG Panda dial still had much more impact and wrist presence.

I'll be interested to see what you think when you get to try the Plat Daytona on.....
Good observations and I agree

First of all, what a collection…wow!

While I agree in principle to the concept of downsizing, I can never figure out how to make it work for me. I like the idea of moving the sub for the pt. daytona. I also like including it for the ultimate trifecta, so I'm not much help here.

Agree with Mike about the clasp. A watch this big and heavy needs the ability to dial in to the perfect fit.

Given Tom's preference for larger watches and diamond dials, he'd probably enjoy the diamond roman dial platinum DD2.

Hell of a collection! Keep (1 or 2) what you think you'll enjoy wearing for many years to come. I suspect this quest to be a one watch man will likely not last for very long - tho that is just imho.

It's a wonderful collection ..... Decisions decisions decisions......
I'd say sell the YG sub to make room for a dressier watch like the DD2 in WG or plat.
