Mojo,
All depends. Are we talking about a 14060m Sub (no-date) or a 16610 Sub w/ Date? If it's a 16610 Sub w/Date with all boxes and papers and in good to great condition... That's a great deal. If it's a 14060m Sub (no-date) with all boxes and papers. That's about right. W/o paper... then that's a different issue. Steve |

It does not matter so much if the Sub Date has papers or not if you are going to keep the watch. Service papers are as good as a certificate. But you want to make sure the watch is real. Main thing is to buy the seller before buying the watch. If the seller is good, the deal is good.

Yeah, what Bo said!!
a Z is end of 2006 and most of 2007 so it could be anywhere from "NIB" to having been used a year. if it's LNIB or NIB then the price is Great for a 14060 (much better then retail) and FANTASTIC for a 16610 |

It's a 16610 bought from an AD in August 07. No papers, box $75 extra. From a grey dealer. AD confirmed original purchase, papers won't come with it because original owners info is on it, but selling dealer has it. Now what do you guys think??

"AD confirmed original purchase".
Did you speak to this AD? Do you have the confirmation in writing? Also, you might be able to find a box for it online for less. Anyway, if you are sure the watch is real, I'd go for it.

That's a good price for a 16610....
I wouldn't pay extra for a box at this time, unless you really want a box. A "Z" is still a good 3-5 years from needing a service where you will get fresh paper..

I didn't know you get fresh paper when a watch is serviced. Is this still the case if it was bought second hand from a grey dealer?

Honestly, that almost seems like too good a deal. 6-month old Z 16610 from a dealer, market rate is about $1k higher. That would set off my radar a little.
Make sure you check out the seller. Did you get pics? |

Yes.. It does not matter where you bought it from.. When you get the watche serviced you will get an itemized invoice of all actions performed, and you will get a warranty good for 1 year.. That is fresh paper, and it is good as gold..

OK. I took the chance. I should get it next week & will try to post pics. The sub is supposed to have original papers, hang tags, & books. If all is ok I will post dealer info as this does seem like too good a deal. Got my fingers crossed.
