A 1680 story...

A few months ago I was at my AD and a guy walked up with a 1680 and thought it might be worth a couple of hundred.
He almost fainted when told the value, even though someone had super glued the bezel to the case! and the bracelet needed replaced.
The wholesale value? $1500-2000.

If it was an older 1680 with the Red Font, it would retail for much more than that price....

I was I had been smart enough to buy one of these 1680's when I was younger...!

I can't imagine an 'AD' (presumably you mean Rolex AD?) would say that a 1680 was only worth 1.5-2K bucks...
