Rubber B on a Yachtmaster (16622)
I decided to get the Rubber B for my Yachtmaster 16622 as something different, and decided to post the pictures as I couldn't see many on the web. Or a write up specific for the Yachtmaster.
I respect that many will not like the 'Rubber B' product, this thread is for people curious about the Rubber B. Possibly with a Yachtmaster. If you have no interest in a rubber strap there is no need to read further! The immediate thing I noticed with the 'Rubber B' was the change in weight. It was like the watch was almost 50% lighter if not more. Then the comfort on how easily it sat on the wrist. It almost felt as if the watch wasn't there. The Rubber B combined with the Rolex Clasp is best in my opinion. It looks amazing. Also I prefer the conservative darker colours. But that's just me. It might be a little hard to get use to at first, but it feels like a 'summer watch'. A good thing as I'm about to head 'down under' to the middle of summer. Also it's not easily recognized as a Rolex, a good thing if you like to enjoy a watch without everyone else noticing. People see the strap, and assume it must be another brand... I probably will change back to the metal strap in winter, but for the mean time I'm happy with the Rubber B strap. It's a good change to make without flipping for another item. Hope this review was helpful... |

Wow, that is nice. Do they have a grey band? I would like to see that on mine. Good looking watch btw.

I actually really like that, it looks very tough/sporty for a YM, not quite sure about the clasp part but the watch body/band interface is cracking.

Love the YM 16622 - doesn't get anywhere near the credit it should but in my honest opinion that doesn't work at all with the Rubber strap.

I used to put my Daytona on M103 Rubber Bs. I think it makes the watch look 'non Rolex'. Very stealthy and sporty.
But after a while, I missed the Oyster bracelet too much. But I do like the look of your YM on Rubber Bs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free |

I love the rubber b on my DSSD, so much that I just ordered one for my 16610. Its a great change on pace, and my wife says it makes the watch look more "youthful". It looks great on your 16622! Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk 2 |

You should also put it on a brown leather strap, that really looks great.

A quick visit to rubberb(dot)com and you'll see what colours and models are supported. You can get grey but only available for the Deep Sea. Also the clasp and buckle options are supported for many models.
Thanks for the positive feedback, and I can appreciate those that don't like it too. Each to their own. Will probably go back to the Oyster bracelet at some stage but enjoying the lighter rubber option at the moment. Definitely feels more like a t-shirt and beach watch now which was what i wanted. @ak797 any pics of your YM with a brown leather strap? @gilv post some pics when you get it? Great watch the Polar Ex II (red hand), i love the understated look. Very appealing. @samsmart That's an awesome looking rubber B on your DSSD! Other options: |

I really want the red one to match the second hand and letters.

Found that thread. Has a picture of Jocke's YM with a leather strap. Looks great to me.

Sorry just does nothing for me just do not like the black rubber any brand on the YM. Now if you do want a change then a nice brown leather strap would suite watch better IMHO.

this navy one looks awesome on the blue dial model, I think.
To the OP - very nice, but maybe a light grey rubber strap would go better - I think they make one. Or the red! |

Rubber B only make the grey strap for the Deep Sea at the moment. I agree the navy strap on the blue dial looks really nice

Looks good , sometimes it's a nice change up, I posted a pic of my BLNR on a blue Rubber B a week or two ago, still sporting it and it really does feel much lighter. Probably going to change it back to the braclet soon, and change it back in summer.

That's the great the thing about changing the strap to change the character of the watch. Your AD can swap it in 2 minutes flat and without the expense of flipping for another. Have you thought about a leather strap option? the YM Leather mentioned in the comment section is stunning.
