Great question? I don't know, it would depend on how it looked. I am trying my best to keep myself to the Rolex watches I own. I would still buy a SD if Rolex changes it in the near future with a Maxi-dial.

seriously, it would just depend on what it looked like for me. changing the battery every 7-10 years is nothing.

the first watch I ever tore apart totally and reassembled was a rolex precision mid-size model I picked up on ebay for 600 bucks,to tell the truth I was a bit nervous,but then I said to myself just do it,and thats how I started to work on watches,I really love to work on Cartier watches,they are amazingly simple for an expensive watch.I can buy all the parts for a cartier on ebay for just a few hundred-including a broken down hull,refinish it and get it running again,then flip it for about two grand.also-it is a pleasure to do!I love to tinker with watches,and if you can make some money as well,then superb.

sorry all,my answer to the original question is yes I would buy a quartz from rolex,but I would not want to spend four thousand on a quartz-I will tell you that!

Rolex quartz, not for me.

I like the mechanicals which is why I have 8 in the watch box, three are Rollies. And then there's the old school Timex, the 300g Russian diver and the Atmos. Yup I just love mechanical timepieces.

I do have a confession, I have 3 quartz watches..... all of them need a battery change

My father in law has owned an OysterQuartz for about 25 years, and at least in Argentina, the AD will change your battery at no cost ¡for life! (yours or the watch's, whichever ends first
