A difficult choice...
Hi Rolexfriends,
If you were to choose, which one would you go for? A want to know what your thoughts are, on two different models. I must choose between the 116613 LB and the 216570 with the white dial. Which one do you prefer? Thanks! |

I'd go with the two-tone, I like the Exp-II but would prefer a 40mm version with a red hand or a vintage one.

I own a 116613LB and want an explorerII white dial.
Both awsome pieces, the sub more iconic. If you don't have a TT than maybe the 116613LB is the one for now and an explorerII in the future. Either way you will be happy with both. |

What else do you own? It'd be nice to add diversity to your collection, unless you really like one type of design.

Between those choices I pick the 116613LB. I prefer the 16570 (w/white dial) over the 216570.

I'd go with the Sub. The blue face goes great with the TT

I am partial to the Explorer but it the TT is a wonderful piece. Good luck choosing!

116613lb, and the non sunburst is a more subtle look.
I have thought about the polar a number of times, but in the flesh it didn't do it for me. |

Explorer 2 polar, but I like the 40mm version the best. The new 42mm is simply WAY too big for me and my lifestyle. I find I actually the time zone function where as I never used the sub / timer function. Just logical for me.

Since you are Europe you need a bit of gold - TT SubC with the new sunburst dial. Live a little!
You can always pick up the Exp42 polar later, perferably used since it is a steal on the 2nd hand market. |

Neither for me. I'd pick the 116613LN if I wanted one close to your choices.

I still don't understand how people look for other people's opinion on what is absolutely a matter of THEIR OWN PERSONAL TASTES.
How is my opinion or anyone else's relevant to what YOU like better? Seriously? |
