New collar for my puppy... guess I'll have to change his name.

Wife got this safety collar for our 6 week old Anatolian Shepard puppy. Guess I need to change his name to Rolex.

The collar is actually a cat collar. It's distributed by www.aspenpet.com but my wife doesn't recall which pet store she got it from. Out puppy is only 5 and a half weeks old so it's still at the breeder. We wanted to make sure that everybody would know that our puppy was already spoken for so the breeder allowed us to put a safety cat collar on it. Here is a picture of the pup prior to having his collar put on him.https://www.rolexforums.com/images/attach/jpg.gif

Up to this point we have adopted all of our Anatolian dogs from a rescue rather than a breeder. In an incredible string of unfortunate and unrelated events two of our Anatolians died within a 10 hour period and I needed to immediately find a puppy for my wife so that she could maintain her sanity. We have no kids, just dogs, cats, horses and cows. They are our family.

I can assure you that even with kids they become part of the family

My wife and I are only half joking when we tell people that our two Chesapeake Bay Retrievers probably don't even know they are dogs.

I've heard of being in the dog house but never in the dog bowl. What a sweet pup. Congratulations. That one will deserve a lot of love.

Here's a link for a Rolex dog collar...

Sorry to hear about your dogs, I can't imagine how difficult that must be. Glad you are jumping back into the fold with a new pup.

Very sad - completely understand. Have had a dog since I was eight years old now on number 4 and she's now 12. Pain in the a__ but have loved each one them.
