Got a scratch when i banged my explorer on the corner of a wooden table, not too deep my can this be brushed out during service?

yep that will vanish in a heart beat ,,, but more will follow ,, they too will vanish ,, or leave it till you have a few , and do a spring clean brush up .

Brush what out....stop ocd-ing and enjoy your watch. Scratches are like zombies, slow and dumb, but they keep coming and somehow manage to catch up no matter how fast or smart you are.

I wouldn't even bother with a sratch like that. Many MANY more will follow. Just enjoy it with its battle scars.

Wait a bit, and if it still bothers you pickup a #7447 maroon Scotchbrite pad (say off ebay) and lightly rub with the grain over the scatch. Clean the watch up thoroughly with liquid hand soap and some H2O. You can search here at TRF under "scratch removal" for more info/help.

It so easy to fix, I would brush it myself. I'm a bit OCD with my watches, so you may want to ignore my comment.

It can be brushed out, but I would just leave it. Scotch brite pads and fiberglass pens have given me more grief than relief. It is difficult to PERFECTLY match the factory brushed finish.

You're just using the wrong ones.

ScotchBrite #7447 (the maroon) will take that out in three passes and match the original finish perfectly.

hhcave, if it bothers you enough to post a picture it's worth the 10 seconds to make it go away...
