And YOU are anal about...?
Hi guys,
All of us are anal about one thing or another regarding our beloved and precious watches. Me? For me, it's gotta be accuracy!! Anything over +2 secs/day and I will go ballistic. For me, my COSC standards are high. I can tolerate just about anything on a watch....well, almost anything within reason, but accuracy comes first. How about YOU? JJ

For me it's the clasp. If the bracelet isn't set just right the clasp will sit a little to the left or right of the center, bottom of my wrist. this will make me absolutely insane!!!

Unless I'm using it to keep trak of something, my bezel has to be lined up perfectly. If not, it bugs the hell out of me.

I guess if I'm anal at all about my watches, it's making sure that they keep running. I hate having to spend time setting all the complications on my watches. That's why I keep 8 of the 10 autos I own on winders. The 9th is on my wrist, and the 10th turned out to be a piece of junk so it just sits in a drawer.

What drives me crazy is when the second hand moves, I just can't stand that nervous movement

I'm with Paul.
It has to be right on the 12 unless I'm using it.

For me it's accuracy, and the bezel thing and fingerprints on the crystal ....

What's wrong with this button? I keep pressing it obsessively-compulsively and nothing happens!

another thing, not really anal, but it annoys me, when my crown if screwed down, the Rolex Crown is upside down.

Here's another one: I take good care of my babies (DD, Sub, Exp, DJ, 1803 and other non-Rolex)...wife takes one of hears, puts it on and it stays on her wrist until she picks another one (bed, shower, beach, snorkel, work, shopping, meetings....everything) and when she takes it off, she just leaves it on top of her night desk in 'whatever position it landed'.....>AAAARRRRGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

For me it is the one I don't have yet.
Not too much bothers me, I don't really ever check the accuracy except when it time to change over the date, then I check it against time.gov.

Me, I need to know where all my watches are all the time.
If a watch is not on my wrist, it is in the safe, in my watchbox in the closet, or next to my bed. I just like to be aware of where they are. Like money, I would never want to just misplace a few thousand dollars. If I take it off to do anything, I like to know exactly where it is. Guess I'm paranoid I'll lose it. A good paranoia if you ask me. |

I'm also anal about accuracy. It has to be within COSC standards I use the atomic clock as my standard http://www.time.gov/timezone.cgi?Central/d/-6/java
It seems that my Breitling is keeping better time than my TT Blue Sub. My TT Blue Sub is a constant + 6 sec/ 24 hrs no matter what. But my Breitling is + 6 sec/ 24 hrs. on an active day; + 3 sec/ 24 hrs. on a moderate day; and + 1 sec/ 24 hrs. on a lazy couch potato day. I'm kinda liking this Breitling better!!
