Same here. Have been offered opportunities to pick up SS Daytonas twice in the last few weeks from ADs in NY. Both were at MSRP.

So I visited and called ADs in and around ny/nj/pa in hopes of finding the ss white dial daytona. I really wanted to go the AD route, I appreciate everyone's opinion on trusted sellers and I'm sure I'll get there just felt better about the official ness of a dealer in my first rolex. Well I struck out everywhere and met a lot of pretentious obnoxious dealers who laughed at my questions and dismissed me quickly.

And then....

I was in the area of an AD that had been referred to me in north nj and though I'll go look. As soon as I walked in one of the two women asked to help me - as soon as I asked about the SS she said they didn't have one (typical). We began to chat about watches and what I liked and her sister overheard the conversation, asked what I had been looking for, then said look in the safe. Out comes an SS and not only the right watch but the right face. She put it on my wrist looked at me and said you're in love. I was in lie before it came anywhere near my wrist. Iconic watch exactly what I wanted and available in my backyard. For everyone saying daytonas are easily available - not in ny metro atleast not for the common man, however timing is everything.

Happily the owner of a new as daytona!!

Yes.

Try an AD or one of the sellers here

I have bought both of my Rolexes via AD. Very good experiences with both. Personally, it is worth the peace of mind.

I won't even go in to look anymore. It is very uncomfortable.

But didn't it bother you that the first saleswoman lied to you? I know in the end, the watch is the most important thing, but it's just a pet peeve that many of the ADs play these games. That's a huge reason I go with trusted sellers

Now that is an awesome story! That is how it out to be! Congratulations to you and kudos to the Sister who let you have their "in the safe SS Daytona." Awesome! You need to send that lady a box of chocolates.
