But I'm wondering, have you ever bought a watch, sold it, and then bought it again? If so, do you still have it?
Yes this

I stupidly sold the first X-33 I had. Luckily, I actually found a better one for less than what I sold the first one for.

I travel a lot. This is the best travel watch in the world. It's the one watch I have had that I can really depend on. A true tool watch. Nothing else can compare.

Yes

I've done this with the Sub, Sub Date, Explorer II, Datejust, and most recently with the Explorer. Fickle is what I'd call it. The good news is I never lost $ on those moves. The bad news is the prices keep increasing!

You are doing it wrong, mate

I personally have only sold two of my watches. Haven't gone back. Same for exes too (not the selling part)

A few times. I have had two platinum day dates and don't have either on. If you count the WG with glacier roman it makes three. I also had a NIB SD that I traded and bought a used one back that I still have and bought a COMEX 16600 to go with it. The SD had more pull for me than the DD.

With the exception of one DRSD and one GMT II, I have owned all of my other watches at least three times…
To be honest, I don't see how you can really decide whether a watch is for you until you have owned it, let it go and then owned it again…
Madness at the very least...

Wow, how can you let those DD in platinum go?! Have you had the DDII in platinum?

That is quite the process! Do you still own any of the ones you've gone through three times?

Been there, recently. In order to fund a special project, I was forced to convert my first and only Rolex, the 116610LN into cash. A few months later, I've had the chance to purchase the exact same watch back from my watch dealer friend. Of course I went for it I still have the watch, and wouldn't sell it again -- unless another financial trouble happens , of course

That has been my story with SS DJ's. Owned 3 and always sold them.
