Rolex Officially On Board of Worlds Fastest Car!

As per the news story which just aired nationally on CBS affiliates, Rolex is the official timer of the Bloodhound SSC supersonic car that is designed to reach speeds of over 1000 MPH and will attempt to break the land ground speed record with driver Andy Green at the helm.

As per the news report, the Rolex timer in my pic below is also the spedometer! Not sure if that part is accurate or not, but that's what the reporter indicated. Either way, they spent a good amount if time with this huge close up of ROLEX which will already start paying marketing dividends for the brand!

Not quite sure how to read it but given it isn't a typical 12 o'clock high dial it probably is also the speedo though it looks more like a tach.

Cool. It looks like a tach, not a speedo.

Totally agree, looks like a tachometer to me as well, but in think each one of those digits represents 100 MPH up to 1,100 MPH! As well it locks to the highest point it hits during a run, as the driver hit the reset button in the clip sending the needle back down to zero!
