N00b Watch Girl 2014 from California
Hi everyone! I am new to this forum and I am searching for my first luxury watch!!
I have to admit.. I never really understood why so many people fussed over nice watches. Until...... about a few weeks ago when my bf bought his first GMT Rolex. OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG.... I couldn't believe what I had missing this whole time. I mean seriously though.. I can't even look at my battery powered Marc Jacobs fashion watch anymore. Which is quite sad.. considering at one point in my life I thought it was the best friggin' thing on this earth and a real piece of treasure. loll Sorry this is getting long but I will cut to the chase.. this morning I had my heart broken </3 while I was trying to bid on this amazing Tudor Princess Oysterdate 96090 Lady Sub Automatic Date Swiss Watch.. I mean... I even friggin' learned how to use auction sniper for the first time because I really didn't want this watch to get away. Long story short.. I lost by twenty dollars or something which is why I am continuing my search on this forum and my conquest to learn more about luxury watches! |

Lady sub is a tad too tiny...
Def go for a mini sub or 79090/70950. All still good values. Good lucks! |

O umm.. duly noted! I do have really small wrists though. Umm.. I did see the mini sub 79090 and the 73090. Are those fairly similar? I think the descriptions confused me a bit because some people post in/excluding the crown. Thanks for the tip!

All three are graduated in size - it would go lady sub, mini sub, 75090 (incorrect last time), 79090. I'm not sure what the exact measures are, but they're roughly 28mm,
31mm, 35mm, 40mm. |

Hi Lgear080. Gotcha and thank you very much!! Definitely looking into mini subs now. I have to say.. it is about time I stop collecting Balenciaga/Prada bags, Chloe shoes, etc. I think I bought about 10+ pairs of designer shoes in the last 3 months. Watches seem like such a better investment! :)

My wife is 5' 2" and 125 lbs and wears a 34mm Omega Seamaster AT and it's one of her favorites. She has a 26 or 28 mm Tag that was her first and she hardly wears it anymore because it's too small.

Thank you Frogdog and everyone who has openly welcomed me! Definitely been msging sellers and familiarizing myself with the different models. :) I actually talked to my bf about writing on the forums and he told me that my intro made me sound like a crazy little kid. that I am that I am. LOL this is the only other forum I have ever been on and I used to anodize yoyos on another forum as SpottedBanana :D

Much better investment as far as luxury items. The right Rolex or Tudor will hold its value and in some cases over years even go up in value. Welcome to TRF. |
