I'm a bracelet guy; I kind of feel that strap takes away from the "class" of the Daytona.

But it's your watch; if you like it, that's all that matters.

I love leather on my Daytona but not a fan of that particular strap

Nada. Rolex is a braclet watch. Panerai is the strap watch.

Love it! I abandoned bracelets a while ago. Get more straps and change them regularly.
