My new 114060 seems to be running at - 1 min in 21 days?
Seems acceptable to me. But my older rolex watches with the normal hair spring seems to be running faster out of the box.
I've heard that the blue hair spring tends to run slower out of the box? Is that so? |

On the wrist, mine gains about 1 sec every 2 weeks. It's been that way pretty much since I got it a couple of years ago, and position doesn't affect it to any noticeable degree.

No, that's not true.. The blue hairspring works exactly like the other.

Larry is correct.
Reports that they run slower when new are probably due to unlimited number of wear patterns and a lack of empirical data. Even the differences between watches with high and low power reserves can skew results.

The newly serviced 3186 in the Exp II loses about one second a week.
