Forged Carbon Diver Thoughts Please.
Hi Guys : Very close to pulling the trigger on an forged carbon diver, H series. Wanted to get the thoughts of the brethren and see if worth getting for 18K. Please post pics and let me know your experiences with the piece and if the price is in line for a LNIB piece.

I'm in the minority but even though I like the yellow, I'd probably go with full
Ceramic. |

Thanks for taking the time to reply guys. My thought process is that FC is going away, not that you couldn't find one down the road but it is an exclusive material used by AP & you don't see many FC pieces around so somewhat exclusive. Also it has the ceramic bezel, who doesn't love that. Also the price point of 18K is right within budget. The ceramic although my first choice would run me about 22-24K.

Seems like a great price for a great watch. I much prefer FC over ceramic as a case material. I say go for it!

Hmm...maybe double check that number? Ceramic Diver is boutique only, so it's a set price and not a range...and not too far from where you are looking at for a LNIB Carbon Diver.

The FC looks amazing. I personally prefer the yellow and carbon to orange and ceramic.

Well, back to the subject at hand: I'm Team FC all the way, but if you're down with the shade of orange used on the Ceramic Diver, and you dig the deep, black stealth look of the case, then it's hard to see how you could go wrong. No one finishes ceramic like AP does. And then there's the sapphire display back that shows off that gorgeous 3120 movement... For me, this isn't a huge plus, as I like the fact that my FC Diver is an ISO 6425 certified diver (without the solid caseback and soft-iron inner case, the Ceramic Diver is no longer antimagnetic), but let's be honest, since I'm not diving on the Andrea Doria, nor do I operate MRI machines, how big of a deal is this? That said, there really is something about the way that forged carbon catches the light, and I love the fact that every case is unique, thanks to the distinctive mottling. It's definitely an acquired taste, but if you're one of those who appreciates it, then I think your decision is made. Regards, Adam PS - Oh, and the price you're getting on the FC Diver is killer... Regards, Adam |

I believe the last time i checked the boutique price for the ceramic was $23,900 us. While not a HUGE difference, still a fairly substantial difference In price. on the bright side your getting a brand new piece with boutique amenities.

My 1st choice is ceramic, but the FC is also stunning. If the price is right for you get the FC. But DO NOT SETTLE! If your heart is in the ceramic model, maybe save a bit longer and get the watch you truly desire.

You read my mind ! That's why I am buying it. Great pic. I see as almost indestructible and can be worn in the most challenging of situations. Hopefully it's true & not only in my head. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

its look like a cheap watch or a toy. but it cost very expensive. trust me you better get a gold rolex with almost the same price. precious metal is precious metal. |

FC would be my preferred Diver if they all where priced the same.
Although I get the difference in technical skills to produce the FC shell and the stainless steel one, I couldn't justify the price difference so I went the Stainless route.
