It's a 16750 and it has collector value for sure. We would need to know the serial # located between the lugs to determine the year. Also, since the patina in the hands don't match the hour markers they look to have been replaced which also affects the value.

Better pictures. Take one of the face, take off the bracelet and take a shot between the lugs etc.

And the hands haven't necessarily been replaced. The tone looks a little different; but, note that the tone of the 1 o'clock marker looks quite different from the tone of the 7 o'clock marker. So this well could be a lighting issue.

As has been said previously, better pictures will help. Nice watch though!

cheers,
Mark

Does it have a sapphire crystal? Looks like 16700 to me. Check the model and serial #ers on the lugs. My 16700 gets plenty of wrist time.

That's what I was thinking. Pull the band and find out with certainty.

I have to agree with you there! My 16700 was on my wrist for the last three.

There you go; you might want to check out the following link for more information regarding clasp IDs and serial numbers.

To answer the original question ... yes, this is a sought-after watch. Serial number puts it in the mid-'80s. It kind of straddles the line between vintage and modern because of the gloss dial with white gold surrounds around the hour markers but an acrylic crystal. (Earlier versions of this model had a matte dial without the surrounds.) What's the asking price?

Since he's trying to sell it that is what he's looking for (the asking price). My recommendation is to search ebay and trf for others of the same and see how those are being sold.

6000 $,I would have bought it if it had the matte dial.
Thank you my friend

That's on the high side, especially in the States. For $6K it needs to be an excellent condition, all-original 16750 with a matte dial. We'd need to see better photos of the watch to give a more informed opinion, but offer $4500. It could just be the angle/lighting of the photos, but those lugs look pretty thin too, especially in the bottom photo. Could be over-polished.

$6K wouldn't be what I'd be willing to pay. For me more like $4K. Recognized that what people ask and get are two entirely different things. Is everything there, box, booklets, paper, recent service. If not there should be a bid discount for the lacks.

I think 4k is definatley on the very low side, I have been researching this watch for a while and even pretty beat up ones on eBay with no papers or box with no service history are going for mid to high 4k just as a reference, but like mentioned before there are factors that make some more valuable than others, good luck😎

Unless he has barely worn it, it has all original parts, it has been recently serviced, and he still has all of the original boxes and paperwork. Then a case could be made. But it still wouldn't be a bargain price from a friend.

Well, unless it has all the assorted paraphernalia, $4500 max imho. Recently bought a very nice 16700 for $4300. No box or papers however.
