Nice trip to the AD
I went to my favorite AD to check out the new SD 4000. I agree with all of the positive comments. The thinner and shorter lugs make the case and bracelet better proportioned. It felt well-balanced on the wrist due to the weight of the bracelet (compared to my 16600 which is somewhat top heavy). Surprisingly, it felt like it didn't sit quite as high as my 16600. I did notice the protrusion of the endlink but it wasn't noticeable while on the wrist; not a deal breaker for me. I actually like the markers on the bezel; it makes the watch look somewhat meaner/more aggressive. This is my ultimate diver and will be on my list.
Also got a chance to try on the WG Sub. It is a stunning piece that looks much better in person. The heft of WG is very seductive. HAGWE all! |

Must be something in the air today. I too went and tried on said watch today at my AD and loved it. The wife not so much. However she compares it to my DD II but I am working on her:) I think I am going to pull the trigger in 2 days:)

Don't let Rolex find out the AD is showing their pieces on a Patek presentation pad.

Both are great!
I gotta say, I do prefer the wider lugs on the Sub. |

Loving my 116600. As for WG, love both the 116619 and the new BLRO. It'd be a tough choice between the two.

White gold or even yellow does not do it for me, which is prob fortunate given the price - am solely a S/S guy. I have the new SDc so can confirm that it is a very nice piece indeed. Sits very nicely on the wrist and with the dive extension link out, it can be very nicely centred and balanced. Would recommend it to all SD lovers out there!

I saw one in person last week and really wanted to try it on. But I said no... not yet!
