Some titbits from the AD
Thought I might as well share the titbits I had from the AD today. Remember, this AD is part of a large chain in the UK which owns at least three of the UKs retail names so.
1) Currently a 9 month waiting list for S/S Sub dates and the SD not far behind. 2) Hints of a New SD from Basel 3) No new Sub expected 4) They have had orders in for the Milgrauss GV since it was announced at Basel (apparently one of there clients rang the store from the show to place an order. They still have not had any of their orders for this model fullfilled. 5) Only one current model SD in the whole company. There were two until I turned up. The other one is in the brand new store at the new Heathrow terminal. So there you are. not my word.

Basel rumours aside, why is there such a shortage of SD's in the UK???
In Canada, the SD's apparently barely sell at all and most AD's have a good stock at hand. If any AD runs out, it's usually only a week away. Maybe its time to visit Canada ;') SNB |

My AD also stated the he was POSITIVE that a new SD will come.
He even stated that he got the news from Rolex when I specifically asked him for the source of his information. Still, I doubt it. We will see in a month's time. Anyway, IMHO the current SD cannot be improved, so I don't think I would like any updated version of it.

I think the SD seems to be a strong seller in the UK. I know one of the AD's in my area currently has a waiting list for them.
As I have said before, whilst I quite like the new GMT, I dont think they should of deleted the previous version from the catalogue. Same would go for a new SD. Rolex's strength is its sensitivity to its models, I hope that does not suffer because of trend and fashion

9 bloody months for a Sub-date? My AD's got 2 openly displayed in his showcase with a couple more probably sitting in the safe.
