This and the Day Date are the only two 36mm I would wear. Beautiful 116200!

I love my 36mm Datejust. I wear it weekly, alternating with my sub. I don't think it's a small looking watch at all.

I enjoy my 36mm Datejust. I have a 7.5" wrist and it does not seem small to me.

If I owned one I would wear it. I did briefly own a DJ but traded it for a DJ II as I felt it was a little too small for me. Ironically I used to wear a 34mm Date but gave it to my wife who absolutely loves it.

Yep!

I have a 7.25" sausageoid wrist. I have a hard time feeling comfortable in larger pieces, and I have flipped my PAMs and 45mm Omegas. I'd rather wear a 34mm than a 44+mm piece.

My first Rolex was a 16233. My wrist is not big and I think it looks fine. My SubC definitely looks and feels big in comparison. I love them both equally. I really don't care which one is in or out of fashion!

mechanicaltime,
Dude, you are so right. Get what you love. FTW baby! For a man, 36mm, 40mm or 42mm. Once I go bigger than that I'm uncomfy. Doesn't mean everyone should be...just me. I also have sort of thin wrists.

Bear in mind a 36 mm Datejust seems to have a lot more 'wrist presence' than many other 36 mm watches. Myself have a lot of vintage 36 mm watches that do in fact seem a little on the smaller side, but not the DJ. It seems perfect.

I really wish I could, because I love the white dial, Roman numeral Datejust.

But after getting used to the 45mm Omega PO and the 43mm Deepsea, I found 36mm looked funny on my wrist.

And if you start wearing the 36 for some time, so you can adjust to that perfect size, you'll notice the 45 looks funny. At least that's what happened to me with a 44mm I still own but never wear anymore.

Absolutely a great first Rolex; I can't wait to see it. Post pictures when you get it. Sounds great.

Glad to hear you got it; looks like a great watch. I love the Jubilee Anniversary Dial.

I just got my DJ last week which had had its dial replaced with the older style Jubilee dial but with Arabic numbers. Came with the original dial as well. It took me a bit to figure out what the dial was.

I'd have loved a TOG instead of the DJ I got recently but didn't see many reasonably priced. Great watch.
