Hi everyone.
I am thinking of purchasing a Hublot Big Bang 44mm Aero Bang.
I am currently have a datejust YG presidential from 1987, 16610 sub and the Hulk. I am thinking a Hublot will be a great addition to my collection.
What are your opinion on Hublot Big Bang watches?

I think they are over priced as a whole, especially for the ETA movement pieces. I'm also not a huge fan of the aesthetics.

Hublot are expensive for what they are IMHO, ETA movements, really chunky designs. To me more sizzle then steak. Fine horology lies with other manufacturers, fine fashion and flash is where Hublot comes in. Again JMHO

Its just another watch same as Rolex. Its just a matter of what you like. If it fits your style, go for it. Value is all subjective. A this point in time, I find Rolex grossly overpriced given their prices have greatly out paced inflation rates for basically the same watch of 30 years ago.
The ETA movement is a plus since it can be serviced by any competent watch maker and there always be parts. 100 years from now when your grand kids have your watches, I bet any ETA movement will be easier to service. You may not even be ale to get any old Rolex parts since they make no parts commitment for older movements.

I didnt know Hublot use ETA movements.
Does this apply to all of their watches?

Hublot are a current fashion trend and a popular look..

Big watches with an even bigger profit margin that any vendor can sell. You can even get Hublot on Amazon.

The question is wrong though. It would never be "Hublot over Rolex", as if there were some competition here, or even a basis for comparison.. Rolex doesn't remotely look like a Hublot and Hublot will never have the cache' that Rolex enjoys; Hublot has only been around since 1980 !!

If you like the look and don't mind the price, get a Hublot, they may still be around in a few decades, maybe not..

Their Classic Fusion line looks nice to me but the Aero Bang with the skeletonized face isn't my style. Obviously, what you like is most important to you. That being said, I think in that general price range, I'd much rather have an AP Royal Oak Offshore if you're looking more along the lines of sporty chronograph.

Go for an AP ROO instead, Diver or Panda, much more substantive than a Hublot imho.

Myself, hublot currently falls on my do not buy list. I do not care for their designs. They will be selling for 3-5 grand a piece like franc mullers in 10 years IMHO.

Look into an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore, much higher pedigree, and you won't take nearly the bath when it comes time to sell it.

At an extremely discounted price, I would consider getting one as some of their designs are quite fashionable and avant garde. But anything close to retail prices I'd skip it and go for a Rolex.

There are a few Hublot models that I think looks pretty nice, but they are just too "out there" for me to ever think about buying. My preference is classic, simple designs.

Much prefer AP over Hublot. Check out the offshore instead.

But if you like Hublot design and it's to your taste, by all means go for it but bargain for a good discount. Take note that if you ever gets bored and wants to sell it, the resale value will tank.

yes, Hublot is nice just like Rolexes

unfortunately you will get not many hublot fans on this website. this website stick to AP again, Panerai again, and especially Rolex (I know i love rolex very much).

I have Hublot Unico, I have AP, many Rolex, Panerai etc, and Hublot Unico quality are SIMPLY AMAZING.

The aerobang is the watch i wanna buy before, but changes into the Unico since it is better look, in house, flyback etc.

If you want to buy Hublot, I would say to buy it. Dont listen to the people who dont have the watch. I have the watch so I know the quality.

Their service its also very nice.

My recomendation is to get Hublot Unico ASAP. dont get the aerobang, aerobang is the model of 2008, but I know their design is nice.

Get the Unico, if you have the budget get the GOLD one. but if you dont have the budget, the titanium is ok

same as vacheron, breguet, jaeger, and not many AP are good resale (AP milenary are far less resale value than hublot ferrari and it is very difficult to sell). many RM are very poor resale value too.

when you buy a watch make sure u like it. if you ever think of selling it, you are not convince with your taste yet.
