Sad day, I remember watching Mork & Mindy when I was a kid, and watching his movies..
RIP, Robin.

I'm not surprised, but I am certainly sad.

Special person, he will be missed.

RIP Robin

Such sad news. Why are the funniest men in professional life the saddest in their personal life? Truly tragic. RIP Robin Williams.

i had a conversation about this with a friend recently. Look at Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley, Bruce Lee, John Belishi, Chris Farley, ect. The great ones always leave us early.

Many, many years ago (before Mork and Mindy) a good friend of mine worked at the Comedy Store on Sunset in West Hollywood. He used to work the lights for the improv stage and I would go and sit with him up on the catwalk while he was working the shows. Saw Williams perform from that vantage point on several occasions. He was off the wall nuts AND funny. Naturally and unscripted funny.

RIP.

I'm completely blind-sided by this. I got a notice on my phone about Robin Williams, but the local news website didn't have the article up when I went there earlier. That's normal for them.

I just got home and finding out about it now.

It seems so crazy--so much talent; so much pain.

So sad. He was so talented, but so burdened. I remember as a kid watching Dead Poet's Society. That movie changed my life. This is such a tragedy.

To survive open heart surgery as he did and then take his own life , I'm truly confused. A not so funny legacy to leave your children . Saddened for the surviving members of his family .
