I periodically follow the snob(s) find it a bit more entertaining than informative. Very good question and cool response!

Mr. Thesaurus is as verbose as always, but I do agree, hate fake "patina"!! Isn't that an oxymoron BTW?

Good analogy

would love to see him to allow time, and age the modern lume.

My Root Beer has slightly mismatched hands due to original owner having them replaced when it was 10 years old. Now that it's going on 30, there is a perceptible difference but would never have a tint applied.

First of all, thank you for such an entertaining and enlightening column. Your voice seems to be in pen what a fine watch should be in material, functional, beautiful to look at and finely crafted with passion and purpose. I feel like you make the admiration of watches just that more pleasurable by adding another dimension bringing out subtleties the way an announcer would narrate an F1 Race. Thank you.

I my self am a one watch owning beginner (Rolex GMT llc) and don't claim any knowledge other than what seems to make sense and catch my eye and am very glad to have found your column...
You got a bit of a man crush on the Watch Snob, huh Cabbie?
