I'd guess mid '90s.

i think it was in the early 90's
because the yacht-master came out in 1992 and it had polished links |

I believe it was with the N series Zenith version in late 1991. Before that, they were brushed.

Sorry but no.

I'm afraid mine is a W series from mid 90s so polished bracelet for me. R,L,E, or X series all had the brushed bracelet and the N series changed mid production from brushed to polished (or so I believe). Why not do an image search on Google or look through Ebay listings to find RLEX series (interesting that this almost spells Rolex?). Cheers - Simon |

Here you go Frostie

This is the so-called "floating" Daytona as the word "Cosmograph" is floating under the rest of the text on the dial. It also has the inverted 6 on the chrono hour counter. You can see that it has the brushed bracelet which came with a non-fliplock clasp. V nice huh? |

Yes.
Yes, any steel Daytona with black rings on the sub dials has a Zenith movement. This is denoted by the model number 16520. From about yr 2000 Rolex started using their own in-house movement and the model number changed to 116520 (double 1).
In my opinion, the black subdial (Zenith) Daytona with the white dial is the best looking modern Daytona. But I would say that as I've got one!! |
