16600 vs 16610
good evening, following my last thread (http://www.rolexforums.com/showthrea...14060+vs+16610) I'd like to ask you which are the main differences between the 16600 and the 16610, which one would you buy and why...obviously pics are well accepted...tks

Both use the same movement and as a practical matter one is as "tough" as the other in my view.
For me the Sub wears better, but that's so subjective. Certainly the case of the SD is a bit thicker, lacks the cyclops, and has the HE valve. The bracelet on the SD is a bit different and the tool kit is nice. |

Mike has given a very good, short summary. The other thing I would add is relative rarity of the SD compared with the slightly more common Submariner.
In my case, I bought the SD as I'm not a fan of the cyclops although I suspect the Sub is slightly more comfortable on the wrist. |

Tough call to choose, but the SD is the quintessential Rollie.

i bought the sub because i dont plan on diving below 1000ft, its a little lighter and therefore more comfortable, i like the cyclops, and it was a little less expensive. the money was a very small factor since the difference is'nt much but these are MY reasons, not the correct ones.

The sub bracelet has brushed lug sides and the SD has polished. Maybe other differences as well.

The bracelet on the SD is 1mm thicker at the case lugs and has full links all the way around, whereas the Sub has a half link riveted to the clasp on the 6 o'clock side.
