Setting Time Question

Just wondering , when you have to set the time ( not the date), do any of you wind the hands "backwards"? or do you advance the time "forwards"?

On the 3135 movement, you advance the hands forward.

When you're setting the time, the crown has been unscrewed and has been pulled out to the last position....so the watch would have been STOPPED. At this point, it really doesn't matter in which direction you turn the hands. Just set it to the exact time and push the crown home!!

I'm just curious.
Some people believe it is bad luck to adjust the time backwards. WTF's up with that? Doesn't bother me.
This is just an extension of the ANAL thread.

What the hell has "luck" got to do with this? Modern movements have the hacking mechanism, so once the watch has stopped (after you've pulled the crown all the way out), it hardly matters which way you turn the hands.

Daren, don't you love the sound of the Panerai also??
Nice soothing sound of fine mechanics.
The Rolex is fine too. but much quieter.

Good point, plus the movement looks real through the sapphire back.

Ten times more only makes that $2500. I think you got ripped off, plus I saw the gold on the bezel starting to flake off too.....you should have paid the 25 bucks...

What do you want 50 for, JJ? You thinking of upgrading to the $300 Daytona with the date subdials?
