What's this on my 718's case back ?

Hi everyone,
I'm fortunate enough to be wearing my GMTc today and I noticed this on the back of the case? Any idea what it is?

Thanks,

Could you point out what you're referring to?

You have to zoom out. It's like black smudges almost forming an H.

No I didnt, I don't use a winder. I purchased it preowned and noticed this. It's not a smudge or glue residue since it doesn't wipe off.

That's what I was thinking. It's almost like the bracelet was rubbing against the back of it.

What would be unusual about that? It does resemble the link pattern.

Yeah looks like the bracelet had something on it or was dirty. When you put it down it transferred from the bracelet to the caseback. Could just be scratches...

Gold is soft and easy to scratch. Probably a mark from the bracelet if the head has been resting against the bracelet and someone applied pressure. Should be easy to polish off.

I believe you guys are correct. There are no indentations or anything just that 'footprint'. thanks guys here's a frontal shot.

Love the green dial. It's a beauty! If those scratches bother you too much, feel free to send me the watch so you don't have to look at them anymore.

Funny! thanks for all responses guys. The seller offered to polish it for me during the purchasing process, but I elected to leave it that way. However, I hadn't notice the 'print' on the case back. I think I'm just going to leave it as is.
