New to watches !

I have always liked watches, but now starting to collect and understand the history. I have recently purchased a Rolex Sub 116613LN and love it I have other watches bought over the recent years and a pocket watch. One has 25 jewels, then one with 57 jewels and a pocket watch with 17 jewels. The question is how many jewels are there in a Rolex Sub 116613LN.?
I cannot see anything in the manual with the watch.

Don't get too smitten by the term "jewels" in the watch industry, it really doesn't mean much.

31 jewels sounds right. Rolex doesn't make a big deal out of it--they're just bearings, typically made of synthetic ruby.

Jewel = point that an item pivots, rotates or slides. They are very low friction points needing little to no lubricant.
So if an item has 36 jewels, odds are it has allot more moving parts than 16 jewels.

Thanks for the answers, so it looks like 31 jewels is the number, but doesn't really mean too much !
