White Gold Pepsi GMT...yay or nay?

I wanted to get everyone's input on the new White Gold GMT with Pepsi ceramic bezel. Now that it is out in stores and more easily accessible, what do you guys think? I just saw it at my local AD and i think it's really cool looking...i'm thinking of adding it to my wish list.

Not for me. Too many superb watches available at that price point, vintage and new. I love a good Pepsi, but SS is the right metal for that piece.

I've always loved the look of the Pepsi and the Coke bezels but I've been spoiled by the feel of the new style cases and bracelets for the GMT. I can't get over feeling that the older GMT feels "cheap" 😳 although it's always been one of my favorite watches look wise.

I love the way it feels, and I do want it.

Just have 2 PP I need first. (and the price to go down)

The white gold just kills the whole tool watch concept/heritage of the watch...

Stainless steel made sense for that watch.

The GMT has now succumbed to being a luxury/fashion watch...a shame imo.

And I agree, in that price range, you could get a whole lot more horology than a rolex white gold fashion piece.

I love it but probably won't be acquiring one any time soon due to its price point! If you can do it, I say get it!

Nay for me... Not because I dislike the watch but because I tend to agree with Adam on this one. At this price you shouldn't be settling for a "shade of blue" and I think the other 116718s are better (and cheaper) anyway.

I wonder if people would constantly think it's the older version in stainless steel? I know us WIS would never make that mistake but maybe someone out there who isn't as passionate about Rolex would?

Haven't seen it, so I'll reserve judgement. I'm really eager to take a close look at one, but alas, I probably will never own one.

Having seen it in the flesh now a bit disappointed. Agree it should be a SS watch

It's a lovely Rolex but if I wanted that look I'd just go stainless steel.

Gold is yellow.
