If your a big Miami Vice fan we just became best friends. No show ever influenced a decade of time more than that tv show. I spend some weekends scooting around Miami just to go to old MV filming locations.
I recently went to the house from "Phil the shil" where Phil Collins played a tv con artist

You sir are a boss! DJ ( easily one of the coolest people on the planet) I love how the pastels of the show influenced Miami! Michael Mann ( lives down the street from me ) specifically wanted no earth tones on the whole show.

He wanted everything in Miami to look clean and vibrant! During the show, the whole city and beach started painting the buildings in Pastel colors. Its just so dam cool! If you watch a show like CSI Miami you can see how over saturated the picture is. Everything looks so much nicer than it actually is here!

Best scene ever is DJ and PMT in the pilot episode cruisin down biscayne blvd with Phil Collins In the Air Tonight playing! That was the official start of the 80's right there!!

Currently watching da Bears and Packers. I can't believe that Week 10 of the NFL season is already over.

I watched the first six seasons of Sons of Anarchy on DVD, and now I'm watching the final season weekly on FX. Very intense show. If you are hired to play a character on SOA, don't buy a house in LA, as it's likely your character won't live long enough for you to unpack.

We had a very lazy weekend watching a few different movies. Yesterday, we watched two of my favorite western's, "Shane" and "Unforgiven." Today, we watched a couple of goofy movies "Romancing the Stone" and "Desperately Seeking Susan." We finished our evening out with one from the 80's "The Island." I'd forgotten how much I liked Peter Benchley.
Sometimes its kinda nice to just kick back and do very little.

I've ridden my motorcycles 85,000 miles around the western US in the past 11 years and because of the brotherhood of riders have spent time talking with 1% MC members at gas stations, rest stops and small-town bars/cafes. Though they have been "romanticized" in movies and television, they are criminals and thugs. SOA certainly exaggerates the number of violent encounters and murders, but the show has fairly well captured the isolation and interdependence of MC members.

Heh, heh. I dug out a photo of myself wearing a white sports jacket during that era, but don't know how to transfer it to my computer.

I used to watch NCIS, but when Ziva David left, i stopped. Did watch the Big Bang Theory, but don't anymore. Nothing wrong with the show it's just that i spend my evenings racing online now.

If anything, i like to watch movies on Netflix and only 3 television shows. COPS and "That '70's Show" and "Malcolm in the Middle." Other than that, i watch movies mostly. The classics. Not too much action movies anymore. Racing movies and dramas. I do watch Mr. Bean, and a bit of Blackadder.

But, my favorite show that i watch regularly, or record and watch when i want is "Top Gear UK" on BBC America, and then Planet Earth. I occasionally record Modern Marvels, depending on what it is about. Cheese, axes, worlds sharpest. The Curse of Oak Island once in a while.

COPS
That '70's Show
Malcolm In The Middle
Mr. Bean
Blackadder
Top Gear UK
Modern Marvels

Sopranos I argue to be the best character driven series of all time.

The show that I am currently watching is an Irish TV show called LOVE/HATE.

It's based on the current drugs underworld and gangland feuding that is currently gripping Dublin City for the past few years. It's quite a gritty show. The fifth season just ended on Sunday but I would highly recommend it. It's well worth a download.

I just watched the season premier of The Newsroom which aired this Sunday. How strange is it that Dumb and Dumber 2 is being released the same week?

I've been watching Season Two of "Fargo" on FX. Season One was great, and this season is even better. I live 45 miles from Fargo, North Dakota, and the Coen brothers have nailed the accents, decor and dialog perfectly. Great cast, great writing and a great story.
