Who remembers this monstrosity??

Get a load of this. Introduced on the Carson show in 1970. MSRP on this ugly thing was $2100.00. It is the workings inside the Hamilton Pulsar "Wrist Computer" digital watch.

Agree.

Funny, though, isn't it, that the pioneering digital trend in the 70s, even for Rolex with their Oysterquartz, still reverted (in the man) to the mechanical movements later on.

Someone on the Forum's got a great sign-off line: 'Why have what's new, when you can have what's best?' That just about nails it.
