Appraisal Question
Adding my new Rolex to my homeowners I bought it used but it is in mint like new condition. The original owner never wore it and just exchanged it. There is still time left of the warranty and no marks whatsoever. The place I bought it from appraised it at $5280 when I asked them for an appraisal but current market value for a DJ oyster/domed bezel is $6600. Is this normal or should I be able to get an appraisal for $6600?

Get it appraised at replacement value which is what it would cost to replace it with a new watch. Who did you use to appraise it the first time? They aren't very good IMO.

From the company I bought it from, was a bit taken back when I opened the appraisal in my inbox.

I wanted to under insure mine a bit to keep my premium a little lower and knowing that I could source watches from the TRF trusted sellers if anything ever happened. But the appraiser thought I was nuts and advised against it. Yours is too new not to have it at current MSRP IMO.

Got an appraisal from RSC when I had my 16710 serviced. They appraised it at current model replacement MSRP, which for the 116710 LN is something like $8450. I submitted this to my insurance but I insured it for less than that because picking up another 16710 off the forums would be less.
