I think a ceramic update to the SS Daytona could be coming. This Basel will be 15 years since the release of the 116520 - perfect timing!

If they did put out a ceramic SS Daytona, can you imagine the glut of used steel-bezel Daytonas on the market?

Actually, not that many for various reasons.

Do you think the price of the new imaginary SS Daytona-C will be $13K?

116520 will go up in value :) Just a note that they never updated a current Daytona with ceramic, they introduced new models with ceramic. Food for thought, because I honestly do not see it happening without some other kind of upgrade to the watch.

That's another worry of mine should ceramic come, I would think $16k minimum. Let's cross that bridge when it comes though

Ah, yes, sorry I misunderstood you. BTW, I 100% agree that we're not seeing SS ceramic Rolexes anytime soon. Oh, well, maybe in 5-10 years, who knows...

Have we ever gotten any correct rumors in advance of an official Rolex announcement? I just remember seeing a patent before a new watch was unveiled (I believe it was the SkyDwleler). I think Rolex can keep better secrets then Apple.

A stainless Daytona with a more legible dial would garner my attention and by the time they hit the shelves, I'd be in a position to purchase one.

I don't care about the bezel, except that a ceramic one would surely add a grand to the price.
