Which would you choose if you were buying your first sub?

Both great but I vote Sub-C. For someone with small wrists like myself it's a no brainer. You can adjust the new bracelet without surgery.

The new ceramic subs are hard to beat. The new bracelets and clasp are much nicer than the old ones.

I just purchased my first rolex ever and i went with the subC, so many upgrades compared to the older one that it was a no brainer for me

I would get the classic, non-ceramic. Why? Well I grew up with the non-ceramics so I ceramics don't do anything for me. Plus the cost of entry into the Rolex-Club is a lot cheaper and afforadable with the classics.

The no-date Sub that stands out, to me, is the 14060M two-liner. It is a minimalist gem.

I would chose that over a 14060M 4-liner with rehaut engraving or a 114060.

I've owned both and currently have the SubC Date. It's a pretty tough decision between the two as both are great. The new bracelet is fantastic, and I do like the ceramic bezel. The five digit, however, is more comfortable. I don't know the weight difference, but the new model feels heavier and bulkier.

I prefer the more rounded, classic look of the 14060 case due to its smaller lugs. The newer two line model 14060s are best of the 14060s IMO. But I will admit the bracelet improvement on the 114060 is very nice.

I have a thin wrist, so the additional removable link and the included half-link is a great bonus for me to adjust the bracelet. So I'd go 114060.

I prefer the older, classic case style. Looks and feels better on my 6.5" wrist. I prefer the lug shape on the older style case. I also do not like the shiny aspect to the ceramic bezel.

Also -- how can you beat LUG HOLES!? If you plan to change the bracelet often, (as I do -- leather, bracelet, NATO..etc.)...they make this process a lot easier.

Ceramics will be around for a while...if you can find a good deal on a 14060 -- it would do it. You can always flip later for a ceramic if you change your mind. Probably would make your money back anyway.
