Contacting RSC about cyclops mag?
I've read people on here have just dropped by RSC to ask about the cyclops magnification and in some cases RSC replaced their crystals under warranty. My BLNR magnification is really substandard and I would like to pursue this option. Does anyone have any experience or guidance they could share on how best to do that? Thank you very much in advance.

I hope someone will help us out here. Of my 10 Rolex watches, this is the one anomaly in my collection and it's really irritating.

I have recently sent them my BLNR for cyclops issues (glued on misaligned) and to be honest it was a little battle to get them to do anything. If you send in your watch it will first go to Quality Control department technician. Who, for me, responded with that it's within spec. Now I suspect mine was only just within, as compared to my other two it was way off.
After commenting that "I know rolex can do better than what is on my watch, as I can see it in my others" they finally agreed to replace crystal compliments of them. I suspect you will have a similar experience, with it being within spec. But I have read a few times about the BLNR cyclops issues. I'm still awaiting my piece back and they are closed until Jan 5th if I recall. Hopefully it comes back all good and sorted with no "induced" issues due to service work. I have faith. |

Talk to the manager of the AD you bought it from. It should be corrected with a new crystal. Do you use glasses to read? That can have an effect on the way the cyclops magnifies through your eyewear. AR on your glasses, and AR on the cyclops also adds to the problem. you should compare two cyclops next to each other if you're able to bring in a second watch that you have, or ask the manager to bring out a new one from case.
