Resources for ID on 1940s/1950s Oyster Perpetuals
Two questions:
1. Is there a certain consistent place where I'd find reference, model numbers on these watch cases? 2. Is there a "resident expert" here who can help me identify specific watches from photos dating to this period? Thanks in advance for sharing your expertise!

Hi,
www.oysterinfo.de and www.oysterworld.de have some excellent table overviews that could help you. Fetch your cam and post some pics, please, and I am positive that Mike and other resident vintage Rolex experts will chip in with good information on them.

Indirect approaches
Quote:
Probably won't be able to generally Post images, in that (a) the images wouldn't technically be mine of a watch I was considering, and (b) I'd hate to have the owner run across images of his or her watch here w/ my questions and others' candid comments.
