My First Rolex...

Only took me 40 years.

Been sorta wanting one since High School but just never seemed to have the money or else had the money but more important things to spend it on.

Anyway, I've arrived.

Vintage TT DJ.

I'm still a small fish in this pond compared to some of you guys. I will eventually get a Sub or a GMT and perhaps a DD someday.

I also need a better camera one of these days.

I thought mine was a fluted bezel. What do I have, what is the difference and how do you tell?

Looks engine turned to me, good pics here of the fluted: http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=37963

And a better comparison pic, I am thinking I seeing the bezel on the right in your watch: http://www.rolexforums.com/showpost....80&postcount=9

Finely Engine Turned should be the type I believe, someone correct me if I am wrong.

Thank you.

The pic I put up was pretty crappy, and according to my old eyes mine is fluted.

Congtatulations.

It's great when you get your first Rolex, isn't it?

The Datejust is a lovely, classic Rolex and I hope that you enjoy wearing it every day.
