Too much salt is not good for you.

Just grab a big garden hose and turn it on! A nearby fire hydrant would help...

Funny responses.

Potash is a kind of salt and when we'd have a massive spill at the potash mine loading dock and refinery in Carlsbad, New Mexico, where I worked in the 1970s, a high pressure water hose is exactly what we'd use when practicable.

If it got wet before we could clean it up, Langbeinite would set up as hard as concrete and in some places we actually had to use jack hammers to break it up to a point it could be hauled out of a confined area, but in a pinch in certain areas, if someone stood there with a hose long enough, it'd dissolve and wash away.

Just an interesting tidbit there.

We think of salt as table salt but salts are a certain class of chemical compounds.
Some might be lethal or dangerous or not suitable for human use.
We think of NaCl but it could be lots of dangerous combinations...

You could wash away the salt Grady but washing away the wall would be more difficult.

The interesting thing is that salt degrades the elements in the cement binder used for concrete - epic fail built into the assumptions by the design engineer.
