Advice on Rolex 16800
Hi All,
I recently sold my 1500 and am looking to get a bigger watch. I'm looking for a 16800 as I love the combination of the sapphire crystal with the matte dial. I am looking into purchasing this Rolex 16800 and was wondering your expert advice. I really like the patina on the dial, but worry it is over polished. Thanks for any help you can give. Cheers, Mike |

Looks nice even if maybe polished a bit - hopefully though some of the experts will cut in.

The lugs look good even though they were polished... That patina is perfect!

That watch is gorgeous. Under $5500 is good value.

The Vintage Concept is a Hong Kong shop, so if you're in the US you'll need to consider the potential dangers of importing into the States (it's technically illegal). However, like many HK dealers, TVC probably has a way around this. You might want to tell us the price, too, as that is not a cheap shop, to say the least.

I live in HK so not a problem there. They are asking 5800 usd. From what I've seen on the market for one in this condition I think it's fair but as always would like to hear your opinions.

The watch looks great, doesn't look over polished to me at all. As for getting it shipped to the U.S. .....

HK$45k is not too bad in this case then. Still, I'd ask for a bit less if you haven't already. Those guys have a big stock of Rolex boxes too. Maybe you could ask for a correct one as a sweetener. Good luck!
