My 10yr old DJ has taken some punishment over the years, and unless you are checking it out up-close you wouldnt really notice. What kind of condition is everyone's "worst" but still functional (ie no broken crystal or whatever) Rolex in? Lets see your photos! Im going into the office later to nick a camera, and get my photos up.

I really don't have any beaten up Rolies but the ones that are most scratched are my GMT and the OP.

I love that Oyster Perpetual of yours, Ron! So classic and minimalistic!

I for my part don't use my Rolex watches as "beaters".

THAT's the old DJ I mentioned in this thread where I stated that I had seen an old DJ with a fluted WG bezel where the white gold had actually started wearing off.

Battle scars and fond memories -- it is good to see that people wear these watches like they were intended to be. I haven't had mine in for service yet, but from what I gather here on the forum it will come back near-brand new looking. That's good enough for me!

This thread has reassured me.

My Sub is one month old and I have just spotted the first tiny scratch on the polished case at 9 o'clock. It's no doubt the first of many as I always intended this to be my daily watch. But how the hell did it happen? That's the irritating thing.

Oh well it's there now until service...

She's as old as I am and fully service but unrestored (just like me too!). I know some of you don't like the Nato straps but I wear it on one to differentiate from my SEL SD.

My Rolexes are in pretty good condition, the ones that have the most surface scratches (from desk diving and normal wear) are my Explorer 1 and my Sea-Dweller.
