interesting ...i wont argue but I'm sure i remember a friend having a real problem with this trying to go backward , he had one sloppy watcmaker suggest just guncking it up with lock tight type compound and 'it'd be fine',,,maybe just file it away that it MIGHT not be that straight forward. heres a pic of a thread section of a mk1 pusher next to a pumper pusher, seems like a slightly bigger bore on the screwpusher to me which is what i understood - they had to widen out the thread on a pumper case to take the screw ..... |

Go for it James! This is a great way to put things right! AND, these pushers, in addition to being correct for your watch, may well prove to maintain a good seal as well.

There is nothing wrong with loc tite really Jed. I use it on every crown tube.
I shouldn't be used for 2 different sets of threads but in and of itself it's very good insurance against leaks and very often...they won't pass without it. |

I would've refused service and sourced the threaded pushers through another dealer. Then again, why take a chance of damaging the dial with moisture..
where should i leave my 2 pennies?? |

Right but this was 1995...as someone said considerations might have been different then as people didn't know about the future collectibility and need for originality...function was seemingly still important for a daily wearer.
