Incoming 1807

I picked up a very cool Day date 2.3 mil serial with 5 min track dial today. Watch has certainly been polished but still very nice, in my opinion.

It's going in for a check-up tomorrow and I haven't decided if I'm going to have it shined up. Wife isn't sure yet if she wants to keep it, so we'll see if it grows on her (or goes to the for sale section).

Here it is on a plastic crab:

And here it is on a simple Hadley leather strap:

I love it. Don't see that dial as often as I like too. That's a beauty.

Very, very nice example, Robby! I congratulate you. Those look great on leather bands, as well as the bark-pattern bracelets that were stock.

Thanks very much guys. I just got back from the watchmaker, he says it's overall in good shape but needs a service. We talked about it and he is to clean/oil, gently buff a few of the knocks, and brush the lugs (we agreed he would remove no metal) I'll post up when it gets back.....

i love those dials - i saw one a while back and couldn't find any others as reference for a long time - occasionally come with alternating red/black numbers on the track

congrats!

That's a gorgeous dial. I'd love to find one like that for my 18078.

I would have just left it the way it was. Look at the 4 cut-out outs the base of the bezels and the lugs. They used to be deep and sharp, and now the top lugs are touching the bottom. Look at the 55, 5 and 25 positions of the before and after.

Nice watch anyway
