I have tried this on before and it is stunning in real life and worth the money imo. I personally would go for the TT version though.

Anytime you ask about any Yacht-Master (I or II) you're going to get a mixed bag. It's generally a love it or hate it type watch ... so you're going get a lot of negative responses.

The way I look at it, is if you like it, then get it. If it's the one you want, don't settle for something else just because it's more popular or common. At the end of the day, it's an super nice watch, offered by an excellent company.

If you're concerned about resale value, consider buying used from a trusted source here. You can probably buy a barely worn, completely mint one for an incredible discount.

Good luck and post pictures of whatever you decide to get!

It's called a Yachtmaster but has very little in common with the YM I. It's a stunning watch IRL. Big but not DSSD big. As has been pointed out, it's a lot of money so when buying mine, and given my proclivity for gold, a YG YM2 was a no brainer. It's one of my favorite watches.

Only you can answer if it's worth it.

I wouldn't buy it though.

It is worth it, if you sell you may loose 2or3 k down the road but not too bad.
