Based on just reading the forum and ebay I'd say the no date Sub and BLNR seem to be the most revered , in demand ,models of all. Not many bad words about either of those come up!

For what's it's worth (which probably isn't much), I will be buying my first Rolex in late 2016 in commemoration of my 5th anniversary, and as of now (always subject to change, of course), I'm going to be buying a SubC. I've looks the GMTs, DJ's, Yacht Master, etc., but as of now, it's the SubC. I go back and forth between whether it will be the No-Date or Date.

I realize it's only my area, but I see 20-30 DJs for every Sub. I've seen 2 GMTs (other than mine) in the last five years working here. I would guess for nation wide sales the DJ then the Sub.

Women by far wear DJs. So that will skew it towards DJ overall.

Sub is and has always been the icon of Rolex. That's why 116610 costs a bit more than 116710 (more complicated movement).

One more vote for Real World sales numbers, not popularity nor Watch Forum interest:

Datejust outsells all others, Gents making up more than 75% of the total DJ sales.

Submariner in all it's variations a close second.

Without a doubt Datejust, closely followed by the Submariner. At least here in Europe.
