Soar like the Eagles

On Wednesday night my wife and I had row 5 centre seats at the last Australian concert by the Eagles at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre.
I have been a fan from the early days but never managed to get to one of their concerts even though they have been to Australia many times.
(penalty of living 600klms from the big cities)
I knew this was maybe my last chance to see them so I was happy to pay for the best seats ($750.ea) plus plane fares etc.
It was a performance that exceeded my expectations. All their best songs and vocal quality that is better than you have any right to expect from a bunch of guys at the wrong end of their careers. The instrumental backing was pretty-well album quality with several additional support musicians on extra keyboards, drums, and guitars, including the talented Steuart Smith.
It was great to have special guest Bernie Leadon on stage most of the night.
There were short monologues and solo turns from all the band members and numbers where they were all up-front on guitar at the same time.
The band was on-stage for 2 1/2 hours with a 1/2 hour interval.
The 13,000 fans (mostly in the 40 - 60 age group) were an appreciative audience and I thought the Band seemed to draw energy from their enthusiasm.
Mobile phone use was banned which was great as I am sick of morons who want to ruin the performance for others so they can produce a 4th rate video that they will never watch again.
I was blown away at the performance and can't believe my luck to finally see these guys so late in the piece, but at such a high standard.
That's a big one off the 'Bucket List'.
