Identifying a vintage reference

Hi all,

So I was having lunch with my cousin today who told me that many many years ago his father had a rolex but he never wore it. I asked him what it looked like and he finally sent me this photo.

Thoughts on a reference number and time period? I'm trying to get more photos.

X2 a 6426 from the early 60's. Looks like it's pretty clean, you should get better pics of the dial, and have him pop off the bracelet for the SN

Alpha hands, typical of early 60's. Might be late 50's though judging by indices, raised font and steel seconds
