Interesting, that newer movement is fairly large @ nearly 34mm

http://www.tudorwatch.com//#/en/manu.../mt5621-specs/

Certainly seems to be toeing the line for "tool watch" movement.

Yea...don't quite understand the Fastriders. Looks like a swatch or something.

Caliber discussion aside, the blue pelagos is a winner!

Love the clasp! Not new though. It's been on the current gen Pelagos. I don't own one (yet!), but playing with it is fantastic. I'm sure some of the current owners could chime in about longevity, but I've been following this watch since it was released and I don't think I've ever read about a clasp failure

Yeah, reading that dimmed my excitement somewhat, until I hear more anyway. If it's like those brand-exclusive movements ETA makes for Hamilton, etc, it's not quite the same thing.

Still glad to see the blue though.

I think the ETA Pelagos will be sought after in the not TOO distant future.

I wish I didn't flip mine but it is just too big for my wrist, so big the rubber strap would bulge out at the sides :(

Not sure if I will pick up a blue one, it is tempting and I love the design except it doesn't look any good on me :(
+1.

ETA movement 2-line Pelagos will not be made anymore and would have benefited from a limited production run. 2 to 3 years at most. We all know how the WIS community works and the desire for exclusivity/uniqueness.

I'm not saying that the ETA Pelagos will ever be exclusive or appreciate significantly in value but I certainly don't think that it will depreciate because of the new In-house.

Plus the extra lines on the dial don't work for me - dare I say a bit busy, so I'll happily stick with my 'old skool' Pelagos

That's not new, it's been on the Pelagos since it was first released.

When you look at the dial without any bias- that 5 lines is really distracting.

They should have done away with Self-winding Rotor line as that would suit the Heritage models more, not with modern Tudors.

PELAGOS
CHRONOMETER
OFFICIALLY CERTIFIED
500m = 1640ft

would have been fine.

Liking it a lot! Needed something "blue" to compete with the D-Blue for some wrist time. Maybe with those two, I'll be able to keep myself amused until I can manage to spring for a 40MM DD with the beautiful new blue dial. I think I'd then be quite happy with my "Blue Trifecta"

Not me. I have had nothing but trouble with my ETA equipped Pelagos. It's back for the third time since 8/14. If it can't be fixed it's outta here.

I already "ordered" the new one. Now I have to shift my two weeks old Pelagos and wait patiently.

It's not a new clasp. The springs should last for years.

Price has been set at CHF 4,200, which translates to $4,200 USD with the current 1:1 FX rate. Available on both blue strap and bracelet. Absolutely in love, and will be on the list for sure.

Nice. With Rolex going to sleep at the wheel this year, some of these may very well work their way into my collection.

^This. Get rid of that self-winding bullshit, we all know it's an automatic. That's like car manufacturers in the 80s and 90s would put badges on the back indicating it had ABS.

The addition of an in-house movement definitely helps the brand. That's definitely one of the highest critiques of the Tudor brand. Although I would've been complacent with a 2892... Hopefully they don't raise the prices too much.

Now all we need is a chronometer Black Bay.

That blue Pelagos is hot, and love that they have their own in house now. Colors on fast rider don't do it for me...white dial would have been nice

Can't wait to see some wrist shots.
I'll admit it, the lack of in-house movement is what kept me from buying a Tudor in the past. I have no excuses now!
