Congratulations. Keep it, they stopped making them 35 years ago. Keep both, sell a kidney instead.

Is it sad that I keep Polywatch in my car with a rag?

My brother an I have agreed to split the watch price wise and add it to our collection. We are just going to share it and the others we have. Makes it more affordable that way.

I have a white sub 1680 5.44 mil. Been in the family since purchase. Has a folded link 9315 bracelet with a C stamped in the clasp. I read the C stamp was for a 1978 bracelet. I have concluded my watch is a 1978. Although I had one person tell me it was a 1977.

Yes, we get quite a few confused new or potential owners here wondering why their mid 1960s watch is 1950s (for example) according to Bob's calculator. It gives 2011 for all random serials, too.

I use a newer 93150 bracelet on my 1680 submariner, they are easy to find, and can be used on vintage GMT's, datejusts.., etc... I recommend a 93150 band....

You need a 93150 with 580 end links and a VC or maybe VB clasp code, that is what mine came with in -78. |

Perfect for what I was looking for. I had my doubts about the bracelet but the watch head is in great condition and has the service paperwork from RSC Dallas and shows the hands, dial were refused for replacement but the bezel insert was replace at RSC.
